		<description>OLD WORLD
Role: concept, videography, audio recording, editing, and installation design

A three-channel video installation in which the pastoral landscape acts as the stage set for historical reenactment, collective memory, and vicarious projection into the past. Video documentation from “Old World Wisconsin”, an outdoor museum of rural history, is combined with appropriated film footage of human/animal interactions within the “frontier” landscape. The savage wild is tamed by civilized culture, only to be remembered as an idyllic past. Commissioned and exhibited as part of a fellowship exhibition at the Institute of Visual Art, Milwaukee, WI (2004).

		<description>X-LAB
Role: concept, curation, installation design

An open lab environment and program series at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center designed for sharing the practice of the resident artists and technologists through "public prototyping". As a physical realization of the organization's open source approach to creative research and production, X-Lab offered opportunities for deep public engagement through workshops and presentations, as well as informal daily interaction with the artists working on site.

<description>RE:GROUP – BEYOND MODELS OF CONSENSUS
Role: concept, curation, installation design, project management

An exhibition curated and organized by Eyebeam, Not An Alternative, and Upgrade! NY that examined models of participation and participation as a model in art and activism. Exhibition design by Paul Amitai and Not An Alternative. Re:Group featured work by thirteen artists, designers, hackers, activists, and collectives exploring both the potential and limitations of participation, networked collaboration, and distributed labor. The exhibition represented a diverse range of critically and socially engaged work that rethinks the institutional practices within urban planning, civil engineering, transportation, industrial design and production, relief work, and the news media.

		<description>DREAM WIDE AWAKE
Role: concept, video editing and compositing, music composition, vocal and instrumental performance, audio recording, mixing, and mastering

As the lead single and first music video from Luminent Sky, "Dream Wide Awake" embodies a scene of destruction, chaos, revolution, and change. Mashing together images of the Kuwait oil fires and Tahrir Square demonstrations with runway fashion shows and modern architectural animations, "Dream Wide Awake" is both a work of speculative fiction and a reflection of recent global events. At once beautiful, seductive, jarring, and profane, the visuals compliment the lyrics as they shift between the languages of prophetic declaration and poetic abstraction. The empire is crumbling, giving way to the unknown.

		<description>IN BETWEEN STATES
Role: concept, photography, videography, audio recording, editing, 3D modeling

A visual research project that investigates the connections between two adjacent sites – a post-World War II displaced persons camp and a present-day corporate industry park located on the western edge of Frankfurt, Germany. Piecing together fragments of photographic documentation and site-specific physical evidence, In Between States examines how community and corporate efforts to disassociate with the past enabled the erosion of cultural memory, obscuring responsibility and altering local historical narratives. Publication forthcoming.
